Focal Point

Perou

This photo is a very good example of focal point especially the middle one because it shows the two people in the center of the image.My eye is drawn to the faces of the two people because the rest of the photo has a white smokey background. 



A focal point is the part of an image that draws the eye of a viewer to the most important part of the image or the area that you want to highlight.

Depth of Field

I think this picture is a good example of depth of field. There is a short distance between the 2 rocks. My eye is drawn towards the white building in the background.

depth of field - Is the distance between the nearest and farthest objects in a scene that appear acceptably sharp in an image.

Lighting

The light contrasts the table and the flowers making them stand out and making it look more defined. The geometric shape of the table and contrasts against everything. The light comes in at an angle where it reflects on the painting in the background and the woman.

Personally I don' like this slide show because it doesn't really explain the ways to get good lighting. It only explains the types of lighting used in different situations.

Composition

The photo shows a really good example of composition because it has the rules of thirds in it. The leaves blown up against the lens creates a perspective that the audience is in the photo.

Defenition of composition in photography -

• composition is the placement or arrangement of visual elements or ingredients in a work of art, as distinct from the subject of a work. It can also be thought of as the organization of the elements of art according to the principles of art.
  The term composition means 'putting together,' and can apply to any work of art, from music to writing, that is arranged or put together using conscious thought. In the visual arts, composition is often used interchangeably with various terms such as design, form, visual ordering, or formal structure, depending on the context. In graphic design and desktop publishing, composition is commonly referred to as page layout.

First Analysis



Ralph John Perou, known professionally as Perou, is a British fashion, portrait and music photographer. I like this photo because it is an interpretation of the original painting and it is mixed with photography, I also like it because it actually has the photographer Perou in it.
